In town, when I turn on the A/C, the compressor turns on, the VSC switches and the A/C idle up on the carburetor increases the RPM at idle to about 900 (which I have set using the FSM directions). While idling or after driving for a few minutes, however, the A/C idle up VSV kicks off, and the idle goes back to 600 (or a little less since the
When the 5.0 is running lean, the exhaust gas will have more oxygen so the O2 sensor will generate less voltage. If the engine is running rich, it will have less oxygen and the O2 sensor will produce a higher voltage. As the sensors age, the voltage range drops, and the voltage change lags the changes happening in the exhaust gas/oxygen.
This regulator sits atop the motor and uses engine heat to adjust the fuel plunger inside the fuel distributor and changes the fuel mixture. A faulty regulator will disrupt the correct fuel mixture to the engine. The unit can be tested by measuring fuel pressure as the engine warms up. Figure 7. Warm up regulator. Step 6 – Inspect the idle
Idle Adjustment. My idle is fine, I believe it is at 600 RPM. With the new engine, I put in a new radiator, along with the V10 fan and clutch. It runs at perfect temp while driving. Only time the temp starts to climb is at idle for to long. I've talked to others who have the same problem. I also had this problem with the old engine.
Make sure you don't have any air pockets in the cooling system, as air pockets trapped in the auxiliary valve will fool the valve into thinking the engine is cold, and will fast idle. If you are waiting for it to warm up before you go, you'll be waiting some time. With efi engines, as soon as you have good oil pressure then start driving.
You can access this port by disconnecting the throttle-body-to-airbox hose clamp, twisting and pulling the hose off, and then pushing the hose away from the throttle body opening. Apply a liberal amount of solvent in the port opening. Re-connect the hose and turn the engine on and off a few times to allow the IAC valve to loosen the carbon and
547. 164. Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Jun 23, 2020. #3. DIYPNP needs a 2N2222 which it has internally but is not wired up. Relay 1 & 2 circuits are 2N2222 rated at 600 ma which activate the relay coil directly via pin-54 & provide sensing to pin-10. Pin-10 is used as a sense to determine when the Clutch Cycling Pressure Switch is closed.
After a long 4 hand battle with the bottom rad hose I got the tb on and hooked everything up. Started it and was amazed how smooth the idle was and how the idle adjustment screw worked again! So, regular idle adjustment= Fixed. I moved on to the Ac idle up screw device. cleaned it and everything. No fix, rpm stay.
2WD. AUTOMATIC. 83,000 MILES. I am having a problem with the idle of my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Its a V8 5.3 L. When I start the Tahoe and the motor is on drive it idles at 500 RPM but it will drop to about 200-300 RPM's but never does it turn off. At this point when the idle drops below the 500 RPM mark the AC will blow hot air.
